Unemployment Rate for June 2026

The unemployment rate in Monterey County was 5.7 percent in June 2026, down from a revised 5.9 percent in May 2026, and below the year-ago estimate of 6.3 percent. This compares with an unadjusted unemployment rate of 5.2 percent for California and 4.4 percent for the nation during the same period.
