Customized Recruitment Events

Business Services staff with the Monterey County Workforce Development Board work with numerous employers on employee recruitment events throughout the year. Recruitments are specific to industry or the business and allow employers to meet candidates face-to-face.

Two types of recruitments are provided:

  • The most frequent recruitment is a one-day 2-hour event held at one of our Workforce Development Board’s offices, in Salinas or Marina, CA.
  • Customized recruitments are held over a longer period, such as a week or more. They are generally held at one of the Workforce Development Board’s office locations.

In either case, employers make good use of recruitments and find that hosting them at the Monterey County Workforce Development Board Offices lessens disruption to their business operation and location.

Virtual Recruitments

Online virtual recruitments are currently available for businesses interested in featuring their employment opportunities to a wide audience.  Online virtual recruitments are currently completed in 3-hour sessions utilizing the Premier Virtual online format. Employers should allow for at least one month preparation time to allow adequate time for pre-event publicity and social media marketing of the recruitment event. All participating employers will be provided with a working session to learn how to navigate and create their own virtual booths.
