The Role
As a Kitchen & Bath Designer, you’ll guide clients from initial consultation through project completion, creating functional and inspiring spaces that reflect their lifestyle and vision. This is a commission-based sales and design position ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in a client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct client consultations in our showroom and in-home to uncover their vision, lifestyle needs, and budget
Perform on-site measurements to obtain precise dimensions and site-specific details
Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and cabinetry specifications using AutoCAD and renderings with SketchUp
Develop appliance, plumbing, and lighting specifications
Generate accurate pricing using various vendor software programs
Develop and present creative design concepts with clarity and confidence
Guide clients through product selections including cabinetry, countertops, hardware, and finishes
Manage timelines, budgets, and client expectations throughout the project lifecycle
Build relationships with builders and design professionals through local networking
Follow up on leads and quotes to maximize sales performance
Required Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in kitchen and bath design and sales
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Strong expertise in design, estimating, and sales
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent math skills and ability to read construction drawings and appliance/plumbing specifications
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong listener and creative problem solver with a refined design aesthetic
Self-starter who takes initiative and sees projects through from start to finish
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Kitchen & Bath Designer (CKBD) or NKBA certification
Proficiency in SketchUp or other rendering software
Deep knowledge of cabinetry lines and construction standards
Design degree from a four-year college or university
