Job Summary
Gomez Auto Repair is looking for a dependable and hardworking General Service Technician / Shop Assistant to join our team. This position focuses primarily on performing oil changes, assisting with quality control inspections, maintaining shop cleanliness, and supporting daily shop operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes and basic maintenance services.
- Conduct quality control (QC) checks to ensure vehicles are ready for customer delivery.
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Take out trash and maintain cleanliness inside and outside the facility.
- Pick up automotive parts and supplies as needed.
- Drive customers home or provide local customer transportation when requested.
- Move and park vehicles safely around the shop.
- Assist technicians and management with miscellaneous shop tasks.
- Follow daily assignments and complete tasks efficiently.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service.
Requirements
- Previous experience performing oil changes is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate customer vehicles.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
