Job Summary
Brandon Trucking is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL-A Truck Driver to join our team in Salinas, California. The ideal candidate will operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight efficiently while maintaining compliance with all safety, DOT, and company regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate Class A tractor-trailer vehicles in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
Transport loads to designated destinations in a timely and professional manner
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety issues
Maintain accurate logs, delivery paperwork, and electronic records as required
Secure and verify loads to ensure safe transport
Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse staff
Follow company policies related to safety, attendance, and customer service
Qualifications
Valid California CDL Class A license
Clean driving record (per company and insurance standards)
Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
Ability to lift, push, or pull freight as required
Strong time-management and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Prior commercial driving experience
Experience with local, regional, or agricultural freight (a plus)
Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Extended periods of driving
Ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift as required
