Job Description: Immigration Paralegal
Location: Salinas, CA
Pay: $20-$30/hour, depending on experience

Chris Cain Law is seeking an experienced and motivated Immigration Paralegal to join our family-based immigration practice. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about helping families navigate the immigration process. As the primary point of contact for prospective and current clients, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to handle a diverse workload efficiently.

Responsibilities
·      Client Communication: Conduct client intake, maintain regular communication, and follow up with clients regarding case updates.

·      Case Management: Track case progress, organize case files, and ensure timely preparation of applications and filings.

·      Legal Drafting: Prepare immigration forms, motions, declarations, and supporting documents as directed by the attorney.

·      Document Review: Assist clients in gathering necessary documentation and ensure completeness and accuracy of applications.

·      Administrative Support: Handle USCIS filings, data entry, and manage multiple calendars.

·      Collaboration: Work alongside the attorney and clients to build strong, well-prepared cases.

·      File Organization: Maintain both physical and electronic filing systems to ensure all documents are easily accessible.

Qualifications
·      Minimum 2 years of experience in immigration law, preferably in family-based services.

·      Familiarity with immigration processes, including Adjustment of Status, U-Visa, T-Visa, VAWA, DACA Renewal, and Naturalization.

·      Proficiency with case management software (experience with MyCase, Clio, or similar platforms is a plus).

·      Strong multitasking and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·      Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and manage time effectively.

·      Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other common web-based formats.

·      Spanish language fluency is highly preferred.
