GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Fresh Pack Accounting intern will assist with creating enhanced cost reporting related to vegetable products going to manufacturing plants. The intern will also provide assistance with Internal Farming reporting.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS / DUTIES OF THE POSITION
Building reporting tool using Power BI, PowerPivot for vegetable costs
Documenting process flows related to raw products going to manufacturing plants
Working with the Accounting team to develop enhanced account mapping
Working with the Finance team to automate rates per acre and per pound tables
Partnering with the Finance team to analyze variances to forecast and budget
Create and deliver a final presentation to the leadership team of Dole Fresh Vegetables.

INTERNSHIP DETAILS
Summer 2025, 12-week internship
100% onsite (not a remote internship)
Pay Rate: $20 – $22 per hour
No relocation or housing assistance provided
Required Skills
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Understanding of basic General Ledger Accounting required
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required; experience with Pivot Tables strongly preferred
Bilingual in Spanish/English is preferred
Experience with Power BI is preferred
High level of attention to detail
Critical Thinking
Communication skills
Valid California driver’s license
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; hear and talk on the phone.
Ability to maneuver around an array of equipment, bend, stoop, climb stairs, lift up to 25 pounds, identify and distinguish colors, and work in a cold environment.
WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Full time, 40-hour workweek, no overtime expected
12-week internship
Travel to and from various Dole facilities and/or field locations in the Salinas Valley

EDUCATION LEVEL AND FIELDS OF STUDY
Fall 2025 rising senior working towards a bachelor’s degree in, or concentration in, Accounting or Finance
