SUMMARY: Under general supervision and direction the employee works in a variety of general duties which includes building and operating equipment maintenance and repairs. Performs a variety of duties in the maintenance and repair of buildings as assigned that may include all or some of the general duties listed below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carpentry: Perform basic rough and finished carpentry work in construction and repair of structures such as partitions, walls, doors, fences, window frames, office furniture, shelves and roof repairs.
Glazier: Removes broken glass, putty or plastic; replaces window and door hardware, replaces or arranges for replacement of glass for windows and doors.
Electrical: Performs small electrical as needed such as basic electrical installation and changing of light fixtures, repair work in wiring for switches, outlets, plugs, cables, and other minor electrical repairs.
Plumbing: Performs small plumbing repairs as needed, such as basic repairs of plumbing, leaks or breaks; opens clogged lines and drains, replaces washers and other minor plumbing repairs.
Painting: Prepares and repairs drywall, painting of interior and exterior walls and removal of graffiti. Prepares various surfaces, to include public and parking areas for paint, enamel, lacquer, varnish or stain; repairs wall coverings and trims.
Grounds Maintenance: Maintains grounds in clean and orderly manner including moving, trimming, weeding, blowing, setting sprinklers, replacing broken sprinkler heads, inspect and maintain drinking fountains.
Masonry: Lays, forms, mixes, pours and finishes concrete for buildings, sidewalks and slabs.
Support safe work habits and contribute to a safe working environment at all times.
Qualifications:

Ability to effectively use a variety of hand and power tools for repairs.
Ability to climb ladders to perform duties at different heights.
Ability to carry out duties with a minimum of daily supervision.
Ability to concentrate and accomplish tasks despite interruptions.
Ability to work in several tasks throughout the day.
Ability to perform duties effectively and in a timely manner.
Must wear appropriate safety gear.
Follow OSHA Safety practices and procedures related to the building trades.
Be aware of hazardous surroundings, equipment, chemicals and communicate to management.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

3 years of experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair
Must have experience in the use of hand and power tools.
High school diploma or equivalent
LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, comprehend and provide instructions in English, both written and verbal.
Must provide valid document(s) to work in the US.
Valid California Driver License is required.
Physical Demands:

Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 – $28.00 per hour
