Position Summary:
Responsible for the safe operation of company equipment and timely, courteous delivery of product to our customers.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
+ Safely and professionally operate a commercial motor vehicle
+ Use Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and/or Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as an electric pallet jack and/or hand truck
+ Unload and deliver products to our customer utilizing various methodologies that may include manual conveyors, carts, or pallets in multi-temperature environments
+ Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and store personnel
+ Complete delivery and pick up paperwork
+ Pick up returned product as required
+ Collect company assets to include payments, carts, pallets, etc.
+ Complete pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment and vehicle
+ Complete company training and certifications as required
+ Effectively communicate and maintain contact with shift supervisor, dispatch, and/or co-workers
Required Skills and Experience:
+ Must be at least 21 years of age
+ Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
+ Must have at least 1 year Class A commercial driving experience or equivalent driving experience in the military
+ Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record in compliance with DOT requirements
+ Must be able to lift products from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
+ Must be able to pass a post-offer background, DOT Physical and drug test
Preferred Skills and Experience:
+ High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
+ Customer service experience
+ Experience with a handheld ordering device and working in a multi-temperature environment
+ Stocking, product handling, local delivery, or unloading experience
+ Foodservice distribution, grocery store, or beverage delivery experience
