WE’RE HIRING
Independent Living Skills (ILS) Instructor / Direct Support Professional
- Location: Monterey County, CA (Monterey, Salinas, and South County areas)
- Pay: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour

New Horizon Community Services (NHCS) supports adults with developmental disabilities to build independence, confidence, and essential daily living skills in their homes and communities. We are a compassionate, respectful, and mission-driven organization.
Responsibilities:
- Support participants in setting personal life-skill goals
- Provide hands-on training in daily living skills
- Document progress and keep accurate case notes
- Follow agency policies and procedures
- Maintain positive communication with supervisors
- Adapt to changes in assigned caseload when needed
- Provide direct support services as required

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable insured vehicle in your name
- DOJ fingerprint clearance and LIC 508 clearance prior to hire
- Pre-employment drug screening
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
