Job Summary:
This entry-level position has a proficient and working knowledge of all casino table games and is required to protect their game while maintaining a high level of professionalism while also providing excellent customer service. We provide California Cardrooms and casinos with support in the form of reliable and trustworthy service that is free from corruptive elements and conducted with the utmost integrity and honesty. Any form of cheating is not tolerated. Our goal is to keep a high level of integrity and to maintain card room owner satisfaction. We achieve this goal by providing a unique system designed to nurture professionalism and promote the integrity of our corporation. Employees represent The Independent as third-party proposition players in card rooms and casinos and must ensure proper gaming rules are applied and enforced. Associates quickly calculate wins, losses, and payouts accurately. Associates also provide great customer service to clients and casino patrons at their assigned table game and follow and maintain all company protocols and procedures that are explained in the employee handbook.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
No previous experience required
Skills and Abilities:
At least 21 years of age
Positive and professional appearance and attitude
Proficient in performing basic math equations quickly and accurately (Must pass a math test)
Able to multi-task and pay attention to detail in a busy, fast-paced and sometimes loud working environment
Has excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
Able to speak and understand English fluently and coherently (bi-lingual is a plus but not required)
Flexibility in schedule. Most Casinos operate on 24/7 schedule and never close.
Strong employment reference and stable work history
Able to pass mandatory and discretionary background check to receive a work permit
(No felonies or serious criminal or fraudulent credit history)
