We are currently recruiting to add Outside Sales Representatives to our growing team, individuals can be based out of our San Jose, CA location. This role is responsible for establishing, growing, and maintaining business relationships with customers, including generating leads and sales.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Establish, grow, and maintain relationships with customers by developing and maintaining close contact with customers by telephone, correspondence, and in person interaction.
• Quote materials and projects for customers by referring to blueprints, single line diagrams, panel and lighting schedules.
• Follow up on job quotes to see how we performed.
• Procure purchase order from customers for awarded jobs.
• Attain required submittals of quoted items for customer approval.
• Ensure quoted material is correct and proceed with ordering job materials
• Provide O&M equipment manuals, catalogues, and marketing information for customers.
• Act as intermediary for customer and other company departments, as requested, to facility the exchange of information, and to identify and resolve any problems or disputes.
• Travel to job sites to help customers.
• Establish, grow and maintain relationships with vendors.
• Attend product presentations from vendors to gain knowledge of products sold.
• Provide backup support for inside sales and lighting departments.
Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical sales.
First 12 months: Salary between $75,000 – $130,000, with commission true up at the end of the 12th month.
After 12 months: Uncapped commission with monthly draw against commission pursuant to written commission agreement. Monthly draw between $30,000 – $130,000.
If there is an offer, the salary presented will consider several factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, training, and internal equity. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Edges Electrical Group.
