Program Facilitator | Youth Mentor in Monterey
Schedule: 3 hour shift, M-F, between 2pm-6pm
Location: Various schools within the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District
Expected Hourly Rate: $20

Program Facilitator | Youth Mentor in Salinas
Schedule: Part-time, Mon-Fri 2pm-6pm Thursday 1-6pm
Start & End Date: 8/8/24-6/5/25
Location: Various schools within the Salinas City School District
Expected Hourly Rate: $20/hour

We collaborate closely with schools to provide a comprehensive range of programs infused with social-emotional learning (SEL). Our curriculum, accredited by WASC, focuses on promoting physical well-being and offering enriching activities. By going beyond classroom walls, we foster learning, movement, and growth together. Our dedicated staff receives extensive training and support, enabling them to confidently lead children in fun and engaging activities that develop essential life skills.

THE ROLE
Seeking program facilitators and youth mentors for Los Neitos Unified Summer Intersession. If you are currently employed as a youth mentor, after-school teacher, after school program leader, teacher, education/educator, counselor, or coach, we encourage you to apply as well! This is an in-person position.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Engage students in SEL & PE curriculum
Certify mandatory instructional minutes required for the program
Demonstrate, engage, and participate in games with students
Lead groups of students in activities while implementing strong behavior management skills on the field
Act as a positive and inspiring role model
Demonstrate exceptional customer service for all students and school staff
Follow COVID 19 protocols outlined by the school
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
1-2 years of working experience in education, coaching or child development strongly preferred
Authorized to work in the US
Successful completion of online and in-person trainings
Complete and pass a background check
Spanish bilingual preferred but not required
Reliable transportation
48 units of college credit or take and pass an IA exam
Must have a background in sports, preferably soccer
Strong leadership skills and experience leading activities
ABOUT YOU

Must have the ability to constantly move about to accomplish tasks or move from one place to another
Must have the ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, running, and teaching
Must have the ability to move safely on irregular and or uneven terrain
