Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented assistant to a General Contractor to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management abilities, bookkeeping capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of the construction process. You will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of the project including meetings, basic bookkeeping using Quickbooks, the ability to organize different client contacts and project information, and maintaining communication with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Responsibilities
Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
work with general contractor to coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Develop project schedules and budgets while monitoring progress against them.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project status.
Organize and maintain project documentation using tools such as DocuSign for contracts and agreements.
Oversee administrative tasks related to project coordination, including clerical duties, accounting duties, and event planning as needed.
Utilize Outlook Calendar for scheduling meetings and appointments related to project timelines.
Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, Quickbooks
Experience
Bi-lingual (Spanish and English)
Proven experience with construction or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong background in project coordination and administrative support.
Proficiency in event planning and customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction.
Familiarity with computer software (Microsoft, Excel)
Excellent organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with all stakeholders.
