Job Overview
Under the direction of the Respite Program Manager, the Caregiver will cook meals, provide essential assistance to individuals who need help with daily living activities due to age, illness, disability, or other health concerns. Their responsibilities can range from housekeeping, medication management and companionship, all while ensuring the safety and well-being of the individual under their care. Must be able to work PM shift (3 pm to 11 pm) and/or graveyard shift (11 pm to 7 am). Job Title: Caregiver
This position reports to: CCRC/Bridge Program Manager
Employment Classification: Non-exempt
Work Hours: Full-Time, 32-40 hours per week, Sunday-Monday, flexible scheduling with nights and weekends. Schedules are subject to change.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Implement and enforce guidelines/ policies/procedures for all guests.
· Ensure guests comply with program guidelines, policies, and procedures.
· Assess guest needs, offer assistance, and help resolve issues that may arise. Call PM if needed.
· Always monitor guests.
· Use reflective listening and effective communication skills to interact with guests.
· Pill count on & off shift with the staff.
· Make sure clients take medications.
· Take vitals.
· Perform all Cleaning Duties, sign it & turn it in the PM box.
· Abide by the Menu for every shift.
· Read the med log and abide by it.
· Perform hourly/30-minute room checks.
· Maintain order and assist in keeping all assigned areas clean and free of spills, trash and safety hazards.
· Attend all staff meetings and participate in activities designated by the Program Manager.
· Other duties assigned by CCRC/Bridge Program Manager.
· May require to be at CCRC or Bridge as we are partnered facilities.
· When groceries are delivered, please put them away on your shift.
· Complete & send your Shift Log at every shift.
