SUMMARY: The Accounting Assistant performs a range of general accounting support functions. General accounting support functions include preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers and account and bank reconciliations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Update, verify and maintain accounting journals and ledgers and other financial records • Perform all necessary account, bank and other reconciliations • Assist in month end reporting procedures • Record journal entries • Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts • Find and use accounting data to resolve accounting problems and discrepancies • Track and audit petty cash • Assist with employee expense reports • Perform filing and general administrative tasks • Liaise with other departments/customers/vendors

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 – $21.00 per hour
