The Role: The Payroll Technician is responsible for performing a range of duties in collaboration with the payroll team to process weekly and bi-weekly payrolls accurately and in a timely manner.

Location: Salinas, CA

Pay Range: $22.00 – $24.00

Areas of Responsibility:

Collect payroll records daily from various departments and manually validate for accuracy.
Manual calculation of total hours worked daily, entering time in system and ensuring breaks and meals are provided and recorded as mandated by law.
Processing internal payroll reports for accuracy of payroll entries.
Reconciliation of payments processed, sorting and preparing checks for distribution to employees.
Calculate and enter in system, Franchise Tax Board and Family Support Services garnishments in accordance with regulations.
Preparing monthly payroll reimbursements.
Scanning, organizing and storing payroll records.
Support with reconciliation of weekly and quarter end periodic tax files.
Perform other payroll related duties, including system testing for updates.
Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years payroll related experience.
High School Diploma/GED required, Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of transactions daily during demanding seasons.
Be bi-lingual and bi-literate in English and Spanish with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, Power Point, JDE, UKG and working with ADP.
Great attention to detail, analyze and interpret data for accuracy.
Ability to work well both independently and with a team.
Ability to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays.
Ability to travel to other Company geographic locations as needed.
